How to Untangle Your Chainsaw Chain?
When you get a new chainsaw chain, it always comes in a mess and tangled order. You may be troubled for a while to find a way to untangle the chain. This is a step-by-step instruction on how to arrange your chain in a minute.
Spread out your chainsaw chain
The first thing you need to do is to spread out your saw chain to a model gesture that makes the chain easy to adjust.
Model gesture
The “model gesture” means two small loops in the same direction and one big loop remains, as shown in the picture.
“The same direction” means that small loops are crossing over on top in a same orientation.
More than two small loops
If there are more than 2 small loops on the chain, you just need to arrange them into two small loops first.
Opposite loops
And if there are two opposite loops, you need to untangle one loop first, then you will get two small loops both come in the same direction.
Untangle your chain
Before you untangle your chain, you need to ensure your chain come in the model gesture, two small loops in the same direction and one big loop. Then, lift up the top chain of the big loop.
Next, grab and move the other side through the bottom of the top chain.
Stretch the chain
Finally, stretch your chain to ensure there is no tangled part remaining.
